ACCORDION MAN GARY SREDZIENSKI
Poland and Eastern Europe
Gary Sredzienski’s professional accordion career began at age 9, when he made his debut performing with The Hog Hollow Hooters. He’s been hooked ever since. Gary demonstrates the diversity of the instrument with a wide variety of styles representing several continents. Can’t get enough? Gary will be playing with his band the Serfs, too! (See below.) more

BOLLYWOOD DANCE DEMO & WORKSHOP

Experience a Bollywood fusion dance demonstration followed by a high-energy, fun workout with the latest Indian dance craze. Featuring Newmarket resident Alka Arora-Narang and her students from the Jai-Ho Indian Dance Academy.
DRUM CIRCLE
West Africa
Try your hand at the rhythms of West Africa in a facilitated drum circle with percussionist and teacher Carl Nickerson. No experience necessary! “I believe that all artists in one way or another are teachers,” says Nickerson, whose goal is to instill in students an appreciation for the music and culture of West Africa. Instruments in his repertoire include the djembe, dunun, tama (talking drum), bala, ngoni and kora. more
DUELING DULCIMERS
American Folk
Mountain dulcimer player Lucy Joan Sollogub and hammered dulcimer player Barb Levine blend the two different instruments in a performance of traditional, original and contemporary tunes. (See workshop below.)

BRANDY-LEIF DUO
American Classics
Accomplished on both piano and organ, Brandy Irish has worked in the Boston jazz scene both as a solo pianist and singer. Her repertoire of classic standard songs from the heyday of tin pan alley includes the works of George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Richard Rogers and many more. Together with her husband Leif Gerjuoy on percussion, they form the BrandyLeif Duo.
